PostSubject: Polo paddle specs   Polo paddle specs Icon_minitimeThu Mar 05, 2009 5:45 pm

I'm doing some running repairs to my gear and wanted to make sure a set of blades were polo legal.

What is the criteria for a legal polo paddle?

I guess they have to be fatter than slalom blades on the edges but does any one know how fat exactly?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Tonksie

5mm all around the edge. there are rules on the curve also, you should be alrite so long as there aint pointy bits.... Try and get hold of a paddle guage off someone (usually attached to whistles) so u can check em properly.

enjoy

Hi Tonksie,

I think the rules about your blades are less than 50 cm wide and 200 cm long Duncans right the most important part is more than 5mm thick and no expossed metal edges.

Sorry. I didn't check what I typed.

The maximum length of your paddles and shaft can be 220cm and the maximium size of the blade is 500 x 250 mm. Most importantly 5mm think and no expossed metal edges.
