Local League 2011/2012

Hi all

I have just sent out details for entry to local league this year.
Leagues will be run at Tynemouth Pool. 7.30-10.30 pm Saturday evenings from November to March.
Can you please organise your teams and allocate team captains. Numbers needed asap to sort leagues.

Shotgun C team Captain, entering Division 2

A and B teams . . . . suggestions/nomintaions/volunteers welcome.

In addition to this, the pool require us to put forward named first aiders, qualified coaches and 'security' for each session . . . . let me know what quals you have so we can share the load

Scott will be A team captain and I'll sort a youth team, maybe two, let me know when you have a deadline and I'll try to confirm by then, Youth can be difficult to say the least!

Mmmmmmm, a local league which is actually local to me!!

Unfortunatly I can't commit to playing until I know the dates we'd be playing as I am very busy over the winter already.

Once we have dates we can try to organise teams, whether its our national league teams or a combination of all three national teams if we start struggling to get full teams for dates.

If you get your teams sorted and send the forms in, your captain will see on the form a space to put when you're not available . . . . we don't want to clash with national leagues, BUSA events, tyne tour etc etc . . . . we can be flexible at this point
So far, we have . . . . ONE ENTRY . . . . so right now, we can be REALLY flexible!

ok i want to play,

but i am more busy than not so if you just sort out the dates i'll play if i can. Obviously no div 3 dates or slaloms but I have quite a lot of family commitments in the run up to xmas (and after actually!)

I'd like to play. At the moment the dates i can't play are the 5th Nov, 19th Nov (Div 3 Polo), 3rd March, 17th March, 24th March and 31st March.

I'm definately up for getting back into things but at the minute can't commit - a rather useless statement I know.

Keep me by as a resereve and I'll be able to make one or two ddates to fill gaps

I would like to play a bit if possible! Away first weekend in November and last two weekends in October.

Ok tigers, please speak to your captains and they'll let me know the dates you can't make as a team!!!

I know you've said the comps are in Tynemouth, so really floating a question.

National Div IV (N) were due to play in West Denton on the 12th November from 16:30 to 20:00 but are switching to Stockport as there are no "Northern" teams left in the league this year.

Dave P has offered the date to us up here, rather than cancelling on a very accomodating pool manager at this point.

So long as there's no local league on that night, I'll run something of a one-off comp for the region paddlers and Uni folk, etc. but it kind of makes more sense to maybe utilise the date for local league purposes.

The info we've had back is that WD pool couldn't be open on a Saturday night, but they are open to flexibility, etc. This booking is 4:30pm to 8:00pm, which I personally find great as everyone gets home in time for MOTD, etc.

If you want the date, please let me know ASAP?

I'm pleased that west denton are accomodating for you guys, they have been far from it with Gail!

As yet we only have 1 team entered other than Tigers (or at least that was the case last time I spoke to Gail), so can't say whether there will be a clash or not, it depends on availability. of teams, but running the 3 proposed leagues through the winter the likelihood is that there will be a comp that night. Gail can't be more helpful than that given that we haven't got any entries...

Okies... We have one confirmed entry as yet but im kinda banking on 3 tigers teams, ive also got at least 4 others on the way in looking good!
Would be great to have the denton date...its a slightly bigger pool so would be cool to use it for a div1 session if thats ok with you ivan? Can you ping me through the details and ill set it up! Thanks ivan!
Nicky, denton werent un-accomodating, they just had the problems the dolphin have, council pool, funding and staffing... Tynemouth run things at our responsibility... Eek!

I'll forward you the info, copied to Joanne at the pool as way of introduction. They will already have sorted their rota, etc. for this date so the intention is just to leave it as is (I think the BCU get a hefty discount!) and take over the ownership.

Nicky, yes, they have always been very accomodating.
