I'm currently pretty ill, been in bed for 9 days. Moved back into my folks so it must be pretty bad!!
The Docs took blood today testing for leptospirosis - 15 confirmed cases on the Wansbeck last winter.
Incubation period is 3 to 29 days so you guys are not in the clear yet!!! Symptoms are similar to common flu symptoms but last longer and also include pain in the back and back of legs, lack of apetite, photophobia, pain behind the eyes etc. Please be aware of this if any of you are suffering and let your Docs know you are a paddler! In severe cases, Lepto can be fatal!!!
Just a heads up to keep an eye on your symptoms.
