C Team National League 2010/11

Hi everyone.

Here are the dates for 2010/11 season.

16/10 York
30/10 Stockport
4/12 Stockport
5/2/11 York
5/3 York

Please post if there are any dates you can't go make it too.

I'm guessing that we'll only avoid one of these dates, I would like to avoid one of stockport dates to avoid the 2 hour drive each way.

16th oct is sowerby bridge div 2/3

30 oct is hpp prem.

I deffinatly can not do the 4th december date as i am already booked in with the family for an annual event.

The 2011 dates look ok and the march one only clashes with a rubbish div 2 at shepperton which shouldn't affect us.

I'm free for all of them except the 30th Oct, as I'll be in Nottingham

Looks like I'm okay to play for the dates shown up to now... I'll do my best to keep it this way, unless work decides to send me off to tim-buck-too...

If we're voting on which date we should play off (I'm not sure if this is the case?)... I'd look to cancel the Stockport one in October, just because its two lots of travelling in a month, and like Paul B said cancelling one of the 2 hour drives would be good...

The Boss isn't around at the moment, but if she has any views I'll let you know...

I am meant to be going to Grenoble around the end of January to do my project for this year although the dates are unconfirmed. So I might not be able to make the Feb date.
all the rest look fine atm.

Got another date for your diaries. 13th Nov has been added as another possible tournament date. This competition would take place at outer west pool (denton, newcastle) which would save us a lot of travelling.

Can you let me know asap wether you are free as the organiser needs a reply by sunday...and most of us are at interclubs all weekend.

Tonksie . . . (you'll be relieved to know) I won't be in a boat before Christmas.
My surgery was sucessful and I should be able to play again, however, it won't be this season. Looks like you have plenty of players anyway so i shouldn't be a loss!

as we are only 3 weeks away from the first tournement (still not sure if were going to this one or not!) and the pool sessions are starting this week it would be good to get as many of the team to training sessions as possible please!

If we can get some practice in as a team before the first tournement against better teams than we will be playing (our a/b team) it should stand us in good stead to hit the league running and smash everyone 1-0!

I dare say i can put me and Ledger down on the teamsheet to attend training but it would be good to see the rest of you if you can make it.

Finally got confirmation of our tourament dates:

Tournament 1 - 16th October 2010 - York - start time : 17.00
Tournament 3 - 13th November 2010 - Outer West Pool - Start time : TBA
Tournament 5 - 5th February 2011 - York - Start time : 17.00
Tournament 6 - 5th March 2011 - York - Start time : 17.00

Any idea who is in the league with us this year Ledger?

Havn't been told anything, but i do know:

Liverpool and Team Scotia were promoted
Ribble relics have more than likelly dropped out

Or to put it a more positive way, no-one who's left magaged to win/draw against us at all last season. So it just depends whos been demoted from div 3 (presumably someone has)

Your plan for me playing all the tournaments is cool, I've got nothing in my scope that would stop from me from playing right now in terms of work etc... Lets hope it stays that way... ;-)

Thanks for the confirmation on tournaments... I was actually looking forward to at least one Manks trip... I wanted some Canoeing kit... Still I'm not complaining and still have the web hey...

I spoke early last month about getting a buoyancy aid in Tigers colours, and you suggested that we discuss this with the team before ordering anything? ---- Anyone who thinks this is a good idea, please shout up...

Have we got any plans for getting down to York?

It would make a lot of sense to share lifts down when we go, not only to reduce travel costs for the whole team, but lets not forget being Green, and keeping our CO2 emissions down when getting to places... I'm okay to drive if you need a volunteer...

I guess the last point is the engineer in me... (Although is a very true point)...

Yeah, I'm after a BA too. Thinking about it though I'm not sure we'll get enought people wanting them to get a discount cos most have their own already. But hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

We will be sharing cars, but to be honest I prob wont get round to it untill I see people at the pool on wed...just saves ringing everyone. Let me know if you need to know earlier than that and I'll do it sooner.
