B - Team Div 2 15/01/2011

Hi guys,

please can the B team including tonksie and ledger let me know if you are available for the 15th jan tournament?

Also please can you all either give me ur BCU cards of scan them and email them to me as we need these at the first tournament so i thought i'd just photocopy them all onto one sheet and then we can easily produce this.

How much is this tournament??? Ian can we get a cheque organised and then everyone pay the club?

I think it is £90.

I will not be doing cheques for the A or B team entry as at the moment the club is owed a lot of money from different places so cannot afford to be owed more money, plus there's only about 4 cheques left in this cheque book.

It costs £90, but we also have to pay for a referee at £5 a game, we have 3 Therefore it will cost everyone £21 (105/5). Please bring the correct amount.

It is at leeds pool and starts at 1 so I think need to be there at 12.30ish.

Think some mite b going upto abbey first. So please can everyone post wat they r doin and if they can drive. there is potential to share lifts wiv the a team which we can sort at the pool Wednesday. Please can everyone attend!!!

How many times can a player play up?

Interesting, I reckon I could beat her rate.... lol!!

But don't the B and A teams play each other so the club would need two grade 2 refs. But all the same i think anyone would rather their money stayed in the vacinity of the club! Do the A team have 2 refs?

And as i understand it you can only play up once. If you play up twice you have to play in the higer divison for the rest of the season. On top of that you can only play a max of 5 tournaments in a season. If you were asking in relation to me and ledger, we have already played 2 tournaments in Div 4.

but duncan, you always moan about refing, surely you don't want to ref twice as many games and they will be refing us! I won't be abl eto ref any games with curly/lynne about!

I'm in the process of organising something to sort out the refing situation, so watch this space... Could do with someone doing the on the day stuff if I sort out the examiner and venue etc... Like I say, watch this space...

And for the record, I don't moan about reffing (in fact I make a point of not) all that I ask is that someone else ref one half if we are game on game off game on game off etc etc That way I get to eat and drink aswell as all the polo stuff

you make a good point that 2 out of the three I couldn't ref anyway..

And now for some more thinking out loud.... If all goes to plan this season and we do get promoted are we not gonna need a grade 1 ref? I assume this course in the pipeline will be grade 3/4? Should I be looking around for other options?....

Yes we need a grade one, 1T at least, Ivan can recommend someone for that I think (he thinks) but we can ask lynne/curly at the weekend.

I'm planning on doing a level 3 for anyone who is currently a grade 3, I think that's me, chaz, ian, what about ste and pattie? Matt and scott should be trying for this too. I'll sort it so thta the 3/4 is before the 2 so that there's a chance of moving through them both... Summer tournaments are the way forward with this game. Matt needs to get qualified for GB too. I've heard on the grapevine that all squad members need to be a qualified ref to be a member of GB squad....

Is Patty definitely number 3? cause I've told him he was so he can get a helmet with a number 3 on it. I was the only number I could think off which was free.
